Try out tollingjaktprov 2025
Less experienced teams are welcome to train in a trial-like setup in a trial-like environment. Those who have never participated in a tolling hunting trial before will have priority.
Prerequisites
To participate, you do not need to be ready to start in a real trial, but we recommend that you have some familiarity with the exercises involved. The dog needs to:
- Be gun-proof. There will be shooting in the area throughout the day.
- Be able to work off-leash without running away, even in a challenging environment with an audience and exciting things around.
- Be able to retrieve dummies: run out, grab, and return with dummies to you. Steadiness or deliveries do not need to function perfectly.
Approach
The exercises are carried out as a whole in a continuous test box, and you are encouraged to reward, help and support the dog so that it succeeds. We drive one team at a time, and it will be free of other dogs in the immediate area. The design of the activity will be like a simplified beginner’s class structure, with stealth, tolling, marking and searching. Should something get stuck, there is no opportunity to stand and grind, but instead we move on to the next exercise. This then provides valuable information about what needs to be practiced more at home. Each combination gets about 20 minutes for training and a short after-talk.
Customizations
In the registration, you state whether you want to drive with dummies or game, whether you want shots or not, and whether you want marking in water or on land. If these elections for any reason need to be adjusted, it is possible to notify Catrine Johansson no later than July 23.
